Acacia Elementary School is a diverse K-5 school community that is committed to providing the best possible education for every student through a program that follows the mission of the Conejo Valley Unified School District to meet the academic, cultural, social, and individual needs of students in order to prepare them to make a meaningful contribution to a democratic society.

We aim to provide a safe, nurturing and inclusive place where all of us can be lifelong learners. Our teachers work together to ensure that students learn a rich and rigorous curriculum each day. We hope to prepare our students for success in our dynamic world by encouraging high achievement, acceptance and service. Students, parents, staff and community at Acacia share this vision that serves as a basis for the development of our school goals, curriculum and educational program.

 We want our students to:

  • Be enthusiastic and active learners who take pride in themselves and our school.

  • Reach high expectations in a nurturing and supportive educational environment.

  • Express themselves clearly both verbally and in writing.

  • Read and think critically about what they have read.

  • Reason, compute, and communicate mathematically.

  • Collect information and work through processes to problem solve.

  • Develop an appreciation for the visual and performing arts.

  • Build healthy life habits and a sense of physical well being.

  • Utilize technology to support and enhance their learning.

  • Be globally and ecologically conscious citizens who actively give to others and protect our earth’s resources.

  • Take advantage of the intervention and challenge opportunities our school provides according to their individual needs.

  • Respect and care about others.

  • Embrace diversity in all its forms with an appreciation for the unique contributions each person can make to our world.

  • Be responsible and understand the connection between effort and results.

  • Collaborate effectively and see the value of working together.

  • Understand the integral role they play in school, home and community.

  • Celebrate their learning and success in school.

We are proud of our students and our school!
