The Cypress staff is committed to educating students to their potential and helping them on their way to becoming productive members of society. Cypress students will participate in a standards-based, comprehensive program that meets their individual needs in a positive, child-centered, cooperative environment fostered by parent involvement, a dedicated, caring staff and a supportive community. Our students are an outstanding group of individuals who take pride in themselves, their accomplishments, and their school. They maintain high standards of citizenship and scholarship with guidance from parents and staff as all strive toward the common goal of educational excellence and school success.
The parents of Cypress Elementary are involved in supporting the school program in a number of ways. Many families are actively involved in our Booster Organization. Through a committee system parents volunteer in support of fundraising, school activities, aiding in classrooms or library, and other areas that foster students' learning. Additionally, parents are on the School Site Council which is responsible for developing an improvement plan for the school.
