Welcome to Redwood Middle School

At Redwood Middle School we are a community of students, teachers, staff, and parents who work in partnership, showing respect for ourselves and others, taking responsibility for our actions, and caring about one another in a safe, nurturing, and attractive environment. Our mission is to develop life long learners who communicate effectively, work both cooperatively and independently, solve problems, and think critically - preparing them to succeed in an ever-changing world.

Goodbye Wishes

Attention 8th Grade Parents!

This year, you have a chance to say a few words to your child as they promote to high school. We will be producing a booklet full of 8th grade goodbye wishes. The booklet will be distributed at promotion.

Messages will cost $5 for 120 characters (letters and symbols) and $10 for 260 characters.

Note: Proceeds help offset the cost of promotion

Print out the form here and turn all messages in at the office by May 22nd.

The food industry spends over $ 1.6 billion dollars each year trying to get teens to buy, or ask their parents to buy, food products.  Almost all of these foods are fast foods, sugary foods, and foods that are high in salt and fat - - - - none of which have the nutrients you need.

Each year you see about 7,000 of these commercials on TV for these foods, and now they are trying to influence you with advertising on video games, text messages, and other digital technology.

Use your brain; make good choices in your food; don’t let them control what you eat.
Food is your fuel, power up with what you need, not what they want to sell you.

Student Assistance & Test Make-Up Schedule

Redwood Middle School is excited to announce a structured drop in tutoring program before school, during lunch, and after school throughout the week. Please refer to the schedule for times, teachers and locations in the core academic areas. Students still can make arrangements with their individual teachers for assistance at an agreed upon time.

New Mural by the PTSA Student Group

Students from the PTSA Student Group pose with a mural they recently painted on the outdoor stage doors. The mural was designed by 8th grade student Kacie Hanke and  the design was selected from more than a dozen other design submissions from students. PTSA parent Karen Thomas and science teacher Elizabeth Dixon oversaw the project.

A special thanks goes to community member Tom Kelly for donating his time and talents to assist with this project.
